The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can choose an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair without much difficulty. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub your floors much better than a vibrating pad.
The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but it's a small price to pay if you want to get one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it takes just two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and then moves on.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app will only inform you when something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a vacuuming click here session that is cancelled due to a full bin.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's a lot of clutter that must be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It is able to even remove wet spills however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop and more. The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has faster battery charging and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're away from home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that is a switch for on and off. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
